Device Use
An Ecobot license allows login on one device at a time. If you need to switch devices:
- Log out of Ecobot on your current device.
- Log in with your credentials on the new device.

Naming Your Device (Recommended)
Naming your device makes it easy to see where your license is currently in use and to sign out the correct device if needed.
How to name your device
On the device where you use Ecobot Collector:
- Open the Ecobot Collector app.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Tap Device name.
- Enter a clear, recognizable name — for example:
- Jane – iPad (Field)
- NC Office – Samsung Tablet
- Tap Save or Done.
See Where Your License Is Logged In & Sign Out
If your license is currently active on another device, Ecobot will display a message during login showing which device is using the license. This makes it easy to identify who is logged in or locate the device so you can coordinate a sign-out.
When you log out of a device, all surveys are automatically checked in to prevent projects from getting stuck on that device.
For best results, always sync your data before signing out to ensure all updates are saved and available across devices.
