Edit a point

  • Updated

You can edit a sampling point's data in Ecobot Manager or in Ecobot Collector. In both, the survey has to be checked out to you first. This article shows you how.

Edit a point in Manager

  1. Open the survey and check it out. See How syncing works: check-in, checkout, and sync.
  2. Go to the Points tab.
  3. Select the point's name. Or select the ⋮ menu on its row, then Edit point.

  1. Make your changes. To move to another part of the form, select Site, Summary, Hydrology, Vegetation or Soil at the top.

  1. Select Save data at the bottom right. Manager doesn't save changes automatically, so save before you leave the point. If Manager signs you out while you're away, your changes stay on the page until you sign in again and save. See Can't sign in.

To go straight to another point, choose it from the list next to Save data, or use the previous and next arrows.

To change the same top-of-form field on several points at once, see Bulk edit points.

Edit a point in Collector

  1. In your survey list, tap the survey.
  2. Check the survey out, if it isn't already. A survey that's checked out to you shows Working at the top. If it doesn't, tap Manage Survey, turn on Check Out Survey, then tap Sync & Check Out Survey.
  3. Tap the point's name.

When you're finished, check the survey in, so your changes reach the cloud and the office can review them in Manager. See How syncing works: check-in, checkout, and sync.
