Ecobot Manager is where your office team finds, reviews and exports the surveys collected in the field. This article shows you how to find a survey, see its sample points, and download its files, including USACE data form PDFs, CSVs and GIS formats.
Find a survey
- Sign in to Manager at manager.ecobot.com. The Surveys page opens.
- To see your teammates' surveys as well as your own, choose Organization surveys under Showing.
- Type a survey name, form or internal ID in the search box to narrow the list.
- Select the survey's name to open it.
See a survey's sample points
A survey opens on its Overview tab, which counts its wetland, upland and pending points.
Field coverage, on the Overview tab, sums up the field work at a glance: the Sampling period (the first and last sampling dates), the number of Field days, how many points have coordinates (Valid coordinates), the number of Photos, with a link to view them, and when the survey was Last updated.
Valid coordinates only checks that each point has coordinates, not how accurate they are. Accuracy comes from the GNSS device used in the field. To review it, download the Survey CSV, which includes the GNSS details for every point. See Download survey files and forms.
To see each point:
- Open the Points tab.
- Check the Determination column to see whether each point is Wetland, Upland or Pending.
- To download one point's data form, select the PDF icon on its row.
To change a survey's data, see Edit survey data.
Download survey files
- Open the survey's Deliverables tab.
- For the Survey PDF, select Generate. It builds in the background, so you can leave the page while it does.
- When the Survey PDF's status shows Ready, select Download.
- For any other file, select Download.
The Survey PDF stays Ready to download until someone changes the survey. After a change, Generate appears again, so you can build a PDF with the latest data.
Six files are available for every survey:
- Survey PDF: the USACE data forms for every point, to review and save to your survey folder
- Survey CSV: one row per sample point, with every field
- Species List: the vegetation species recorded in the survey, with scientific names, percent cover and dominance by point
- File Geodatabase: an Esri-compatible GDB with the survey's points and boundaries
- Shapefile: points and boundaries, ready to upload to ArcGIS
- GeoJSON: points and boundaries
You can also download these from the Surveys page, without opening the survey: select the download icon on the survey's row.
You can't find a survey
The survey was probably created by a teammate. Under Showing on the Surveys page, choose Organization surveys to see every survey in your organization, or choose a teammate's name to see only theirs.
If it still isn't there, it may be archived: check the Archived tab. Or it may not have synced from Collector yet. See How syncing works: check-in, checkout, and sync.
