Settings in Ecobot Manager

  • Updated

Settings in Ecobot Manager is where you manage your organization's details and logo, and your own profile, password, two-step verification and signed-in devices. This article explains each part and who can change it.

Find your settings

Select Settings in the side menu. The Overview page shows a card for each part of Settings, in two groups:

  • Organization: details and a logo shared across your whole Ecobot workspace.
  • Your account: personal settings for your own sign-in.

Select Manage on a card, or choose a page under Settings in the side menu, to open it.

Organization

The Organization page holds the details printed on your exported reports:

  • Organization name and an optional phone number, shown on your exported reports.
  • An optional report address, used in photo logs and in exports where you choose to include your organization's address.

Make your changes, then select Save changes.

Keeping these details current means your deliverables carry the right contact information.

Logos

The Logos page sets the logo used in photo log exports when the logo option is included. The current logo is marked In use.

  • To add a logo, select Choose image under Add a logo. Use a PNG, JPG or WebP file up to 5 MB. A transparent or white background works best.
  • To switch logos, select Use this logo under any logo in Other logos.
  • To adjust or remove a logo, use Crop or Delete.

You can keep several logos, such as your own and your clients', and switch to the right one before you export a photo log. Only one logo is in use at a time.

Who can change organization settings

Only Managers and Admins can change the organization's details and logos. Users can see them. To ask for a change, select Request an update, choose an Admin or all Admins, write your message, then select Send request.

Profile

The Profile page controls how you appear to your team:

  • Select Change photo or Remove photo to update your profile photo.
  • Edit your first and last name, then select Save changes.
  • Select Change email or Change phone to update your contact details. Ecobot verifies any new email address or phone number.

Security

Change your password

  1. Open the Security page.
  2. Type your new password in New password and again in Confirm new password. The list beside the fields shows which requirements it meets.
  3. Select Save password.

If you've forgotten your password, see Reset your password.

Two-step verification

Two-step verification adds a second check when you sign in from a new device: Ecobot sends a code to your verified email address or phone. On the Security page, under Two-step verification, choose where codes are sent. You can turn it off there too.

We strongly recommend two-step verification, especially for Managers and Admins, to protect your survey and organization data.

Devices

The Devices page lists every browser and phone signed in to your account, with when each was last active.

  • To sign out a device, select Sign out on its row.
  • To sign out everywhere except where you are now, select Sign out all other devices.

This is useful when your team shares phones or tablets, when a device is lost, or when you switch devices. If you see a device you don't recognize, sign it out, then change your password.

Signing a device out from Manager doesn't sync it first, so anything not yet synced stays on that device. To switch devices safely, sign out in Collector instead. See How syncing works: check-in, checkout, and sync.
