You can manage your surveys directly in Ecobot Collector using the Manage Survey option. From here, you can sync points, photos, and map features to ensure your field data is up to date in Ecobot Manager.
Note: Checking surveys in and out is covered in a separate article here. This guide focuses on syncing and managing existing surveys on your device.
Accessing the Manage Survey Screen
- Open your survey in Ecobot Collector.
- Tap Manage Survey in the top-right corner of the screen.
This opens the Sync Survey Data panel, where you can send and receive data between your device and Ecobot Manager.
Sync Options
Within the Sync Survey Data screen, you’ll see several options that control how your survey data is updated:
- Sync Points – Uploads or updates your point data in Ecobot Manager.
- Sync Map Features – Sends polygons, lines, and boundaries you’ve mapped in the field.
- Send Photos to Manager – Uploads photos taken on your mobile device to Ecobot Manager.
- Get Photos from Manager – Downloads photos that have been uploaded to Manager by other users.
Tip: If your survey includes a large number of photos, you may want to skip downloading them to your device to save time and storage space.Understanding Orange Highlights
Understand Orange Highlights
Whenever a field is highlighted in orange, it means that data has not yet been synced between your device and Ecobot Manager.
Once synced successfully, the section will not be highlighted orange anymore, and when you click "Manage Survey", you'll see you're all caught up.
This color system helps you quickly confirm whether all survey data is current.
Syncing Your Survey
- Review the items you want to sync.
- Tap Continue to begin syncing.
- Wait for the confirmation message "Sync Complete".
- Once complete, you’ll see all items checked off in green.
Your survey is now fully synced, and your data, map features, and photos will be updated in Ecobot Manager.
