Wetland Region Selection

  • Updated

Once a Region is selected in the USACE wetland form, it cannot be changed. This applies to both geographic regions and strata options (i.e. 4 vs. 5 for the same region).

Due to differences between regional forms, Surveys cannot be moved from one Regional Form to another. Therefore, the best path forward is recreating the survey as a new survey with the correct Regional Form chosen. The fastest way to do this is by following the steps below:

Download data from Survey with incorrect Regional Form

  1. Go to the existing Survey with the incorrect Regional Form selected
  2. Download the PDF file for the survey
  3. Download the CSV file for the survey
    1. Open the CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets
    2. Copy the data in columns B-D and paste them into a new sheet
    3. Download the new sheet as a CSV file (with only columns: sampling_point, lat, long)

Create a New Survey

  1. Go back into Ecobot and create a new Survey with the correct Regional Form selected
  2. On the Survey Information Page
    1. Complete the top fields such as name, ID, etc. (as needed)
    2. In the CSV Upload section select Browse
      1. Locate and select the CSV file with your downloaded point data (containing only the columns: sampling_point, lat, long)
    3. Click Add Survey to continue
  3. The next page will provide a preview of point names and corresponding lat/long  for review. Click Confirm points, Create Survey to create the survey with these points.
  4. Your survey will be created, populated with these points and all location data for them.
  5. Edit each point and populate the data, referencing the downloaded PDF file from your original survey
