Cloning a survey in Ecobot Manager makes a copy with its sampling points, defaults and boundaries. It's a quick way to start a repeat visit to a site, or a new survey that shares most of its set-up with an old one. Anyone can clone a survey, and give the copy to themselves or a teammate. This article shows you how.
What's copied
- Copied: the survey's sampling points, defaults and boundaries. You can also choose to copy its photos and maps.
- Not copied: deliverables, APT runs, jobs and the status log.
If the survey is checked out on a phone in Ecobot Collector, changes that haven't synced yet aren't in the copy. To include them, sync the survey first. See How syncing works: check-in, checkout, and sync.
Clone a survey
- On the Surveys page, select the ⋮ menu on the survey's row.
- Select Clone survey.
- In Survey name, type a name for the copy. It starts with the original's name.
- Under Give the copy to, choose who owns the copy: you, or anyone in your organization. Type a name in the list to find someone quickly.
- Under Also include, leave Photos and Maps checked to copy them, or uncheck what you don't want. The number next to each is how many the survey has.
- Select Clone.
