Use the map in Ecobot Collector to create features, and view and edit survey points and Photos on your site.

Access the Map & Download a Basemap

Tip: Downloading a basemap is one of the only features that requires a cell signal or wifi. If you're going to an offline area, please download a base map of your survey area while connected before heading out to the field.

1. In Ecobot Collector, create a Survey (or navigate to an existing Survey)
2. Once you've created your survey, select map icon from the top right of the screen. Select 'Yes' from the pop-up.
   
    
   
   
3. From the map screen, select your survey area.
   
   The map will automatically center on your current GPS location. You can manually move the screen with your finger, or navigate to the correct area by typing in an address or coordinates (in longitude, latitude format).
   
   Select 'DOWNLOAD' when ready, and wait a few moments for your map to download. A pop-up will confirm when the download is complete.
   
   
4. Once the download is complete, you will be able to view your basemap offline, and add polygons and polylines.

Note: Once downloaded, a base map cannot be replaced.
